THE GOLD RACE
FROM NEW YORK TO SAN FRANCISCO
HAS JUST FINISHED!
The race was sailed in OPEN 60 class yachts with crew limited to 3 to 5 people including the skipper.
.
Take a look at their elegant web site:
http://www.goldrace.com in French, or
http://www.goldrace.com/indexa.html in English.
.
This is a collection of photos showing details of boats most of us don't get a chance to get close to.  There are currently three of them at Corinthian Yacht Club in Belvedere, California.  If you are interested, and can get to CYC, don't miss this opportunity!  If you speak French, so much the better, because of the three boats in this inaugural race, the only non-French speaking crew was an Aussie (yet another foreign language!).

Here are thumbnails of the pictures.  Click on the ones of interest for an enlargement.
